    Suitable distance from electricity installations to prevent power accidents, IESCO Chief

    Islamabad: (Parliament Times)  (PR)  IESCO Chief Shahid Iqbal Ch said that it is possible to prevent
    accidents by following safety rules. He directed all field officers to never
    allow any line staff to work on liens without protective equipment’s and if he
    found any line staff working on line without safety measures, extreme
    departmental action will be taken against officer incharge. Safety of our
    staff is our prime responsibility and due to negligence any accident will not
    be tolerated. IESCO Chief said that there will no compromise on safety and
    we are trying to promote safety culture in IESCO. Chief also requested to
    valued customers to adopt safety measure also and keep suitable distance
    from electricity installations i-e wires, poles and transformers and replace
    on electricity wiring of houses on top priority. Chief said that during kite
    flying metal wire should be avoid and never clime on electricity poles or use
    rods if kites stuck in wires as this will be considered as suicide. Chief said
    that in case of any emergency please call on IESCO Help line 118 or Chief
    Executive Officers IESCO complaint and monitoring Cell No.
