ANF seizes 3.652 ton drugs and 1280 liters suspected chemical

Arrested 56 persons and intercepted 16 vehicles involved in drug smuggling,

Rawalpindi:   (Parliament Times)    Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 3.652 Narcotics valuing US$ 1.1124 Billion (Rs. 1.7132 Trillion) internationally, arrested 56 culprits and impounded 16 vehicles while conducting 37 counter-narcotic strikes. The seized drugs comprised of 1073 Kg Morphine, 1558.485 Kg Hashish, 4.25 Kg Heroin, 939.53 Kg Opium, 71 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice), 5.9 Kg Amphetamine (Ice), 1000x Al-Prazolam Tablets and 1280 Liters Suspected Chemical.

As per details, ANF Quetta on intelligence based information conducted a raid at Killi Gulacha, Tehsil & District Chaghi and recovered 1020 Kg Morphine from the said place. In another operation, ANF Quetta recovered 486 Kg Hashish from general area of Killi Ghabizai, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah. As per initial reports, the recovered drugs were placed for handing over to some other narcotics gang. In third operation, ANF Quetta arrested an accused namely Muhammad Tahir resident of Qilla Abdullah and recovered 3 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Mini Industrial state mor, Qilla Abdullah. In fourth operation, ANF Quetta raided at abandoned house located near Graveyard in gen area of Killi Bhazio, Tehsil Khanoai, District Pishin and recovered 1280 Liters Suspected Chemical which was concealed in 40x Jerry Canes. In fifth operation, ANF Quetta conducted a intelligence based raid at general area of Talab, Tehsil Taftan, District Chaghi and recovered 848 Kg Opium, 53 Kg Morphine, 116 Kg Hashish and 71 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice).

ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Muhammad Mouiz resident of Rawalpindi and recovered 160 Gram Hashish and 150 Liters Wine from his possession. He was arrested from House No. G-412, Street No. 4, Mohalla Aliabad, Chour Harrpal, Rawalpindi. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a UK bound parcel from a private cargo office located at Railway Road, Gujjar Khan and recovered 2 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 2x legs of the dining table. In follow up the case ANF team arrested six accused persons namely Nisar Ahmed, Waqar Ahmed, Haris Shehzad residents of Jehlum, Abdul Raheem resident of Bannu, Qazafi Anwar resident of Gujrat and Pervaiz Iqbal Butt resident of Mirpur. In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla car at Tarkai Toll Plaza, Main GT Road, Jehlum and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two accused persons namely Touqeer Jameel and Muhammad Atif both resident of Azad Kashmir. In addition, two accomplices namely Qayyum Butt and Umar Yasin were also arrested during the operation. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Mangla Bypass Morr, Dina and arrested two accused persons namely Nouman Ali Shah and Sikandar Hayat both residents of Islamabad. On pointation of arrested accused persons ANF team intercepted another abandon Toyota Corolla car near Major Chat Shop, Fouji Foundation Hospital, Jehlum and recovered 84 Kg Opium and 58.8 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested two accused persons namely Sheikh Muhammad resident of Islamabad and Fazal Akbar resident of Rawalpindi and recovered 600 Gram Hashish from their possession. Both were arrested from street no. 3, Phase-V, Ghouri Town, Islamabad. In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Bukhshi Khan resident of Swat at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.8 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in his trolly bag. He was boarding for Madina through Flight No. EY-234.

ANF Lahore in collaboration with Pakistan Rangers, Punjab arrested two accused persons alongwith Motorcycle who were identified as Ghulam Nabi and Muhammad Sharif Alias Sarfaraz both residents of Okara and recovered 4 Kg Hashish from their possession. Both were arrested near Rangers Check Post, Mandi Ahmadabad, Kasur. In another operation, ANF Lahore in collaboration with Pakistan Rangers, Punjab arrested five accused persons namely Muhammad Javed, Muhammad Tariq, Muhammad Rafiq, Manzoor Ahmed and Muhammad Arif all residents of Kasur and recovered 32 Kg Hashish from their possession. All were arrested near Rangers Check Post, Badian Pul, Kasur. In third operation, ANF Lahore raided at house located at street no. 1, Al-Faisal Town Lahore Cantt and recovered 600 Gram Hashish from possession of a lady accused namely Nasira Bibi resident of Lahore Cantt. While her husband namely Muhammad Ishfaq managed to escape. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Amjad resident of Bahawalnagar and recovered 0.725 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Iqbal Oil Centre, Tufail Road, Lahore. In fifth operation, ANF intercepted a Hino Truck near Sher Shah Toll Plaza, parking area of Mahrab Hotel, Multan and recovered 701 Kg Hashish which was concealed in secret cavities of the said vehicle.

ANF Peshawar recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Okhyar resident of Khyber. He was arrested near Shin Qamar Check Post when he was travelling in a passenger van. In other operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Habib ur Rehman resident of Peshawar and recovered 250 Gram Heroin from his personal possession. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar from a passenger van. In third operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused identified as Shah Nawaz resident of Mansehra. He was arrested from General Bus Stand, Mansehra. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Rab Nawaz resident of Charsadda from a passenger van near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish which was concealed in water cooler. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Torkani Chek Post and recovered 330 Gram Opium from possession of the arrested accused namely Almar Khan resident of Khyber. In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Muhammad Irfan resident of Peshawar and recovered 100 Gram Amphetamine from his personal possession. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar when he was travelling in a passenger van. In seventh operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Faiz ur Rehman resident of Pakpattan and recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In eight operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar, during search of the vehicle 6 Kg Hashish was recovered from the said vehicle. Three persons onboard namely Tehseen Ullah, Shahid Jamal and Muhammad Tariq all resident of Peshawar were arrested during the operation. In ninth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Abdul Jabar resident of Kyber and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In tenth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Attiq Ahmed resident of Charsadda at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar and recovered 2 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in cooking pot placed in his luggage. He was proceeding for Riyadh through Flight No GF-785. In eleventh operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused person namely Yasir Khan resident of Swabi at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar and recovered 2 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in beneath Fresh Gurr in cooking pot placed in his luggage. He was proceeding for Riyadh through Flight No GF-785. In twelfth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Mehran Taxi and recovered 2.4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused identified as Abdur Rasheed resident of Charsadda. In thirteenth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Wajid Ali resident of Mardan and recovered 1000x Al-Prazolam Tabs (weighing 190 Gram) from his personal possession. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar when he was travelling in a passenger van. In fourteenth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested two lady accused namely Tehmina Khizar and Samina Khizar both residents of Rawalpindi and recovered 2 Kg Heroin from their personal possession. Both were arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar when he was travelling in a passenger van. In fifteenth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Cultus car near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar and recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. Resultantly two persons namely Jabbar Hussain and Rahim Khan both residents of Lahore Cantt were arrested during the operation. In sixteenth operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a container near Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 7.2 Kg Opium and 28.8 Kg Hashish which was concealed in spare tyre of the said container. A person onboard namely Fazel Rabi resident of Khyber was arrested during the operation. In seventeenth operation, ANF Peshawar conducted an intelligence based operation at TIP Colony, Haripur and recovered 4.8 Kg Hashish from possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Sherbaz Khan and Muhammad Faizan both residents of Mansehra.

ANF Karachi intercepted a CD-70 Motorcycle at Al-Asif Khattak Hotel Tando Jam, District Hydrabad and recovered 22 Kg Hashish from possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Pir Ghulam Nabi Shah and Syed Meher Ali both residents of Hyderabad. In another operation, ANF Karachi intercepted Nissan Sunny car and a Motorcycle at W-9 bus stop, Ajmair Nagri, Karachi and recovered 22 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. Two persons onboard namely Muhammad Ashraf and Muhammad Hassan Qureshi were arrested during the operation. In third operation, ANF Karachi intercepted Honda City car near Total Petrol Pump, Sohrab Goth, Super Highway, Karachi and recovered 6 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. A person namely Abid Khan resident of Karachi was arrested on the spot. In fourth operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a High Roof near Qulandari Chowk, Nusrat Bhutto Colony, Karachi and recovered 50.4 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. Two persons onboard namely Shahzad and Ihtesham Ul Haq both residents of Charsadda were arrested during the operation.

All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and further investigations are underway.
