Islamabad: Pakistan International Airline (PIA) will start direct flight to America from May after a long time.
According to PIA spokesperson, consultations with US for direct flight operations from Pakistan to US were going on for the last two years that are now succeeded. US has now given a green signal to PIA for direct flight to US from May, spokesman stated.
Spokesman said that US home land security had visited Pakistan for this purpose while they also audited security managements on PIA flight and airport of Karachi and Islamabad. US departments gave permission to start direct flight to US from May, he added.
Spokesman further said that, initially 3 flights will be operated from Pakistan to New York which would be increased with time.
