ISLAMABAD,(Parliament Times): Nisar Ahmed and Shamim Ara were elected unopposed as the president and general-secretary of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Bureaus Journalists Association (RIBJA) here on other day.
According to the official notification of the results of the election of RIBJA for the year 2020, Nisar Ahmed elected as the President; Syed Asif Ali Hamdani, Syed Nusrat Abbas, Syed Mujahid Naqvi, and Muhammad Pervez elected as the Vice Presidents; Shamim Ara as Secretary General; Muhammad Farooq, Raja Shaukat Mehmood, Sardar Shahid Hameed, and Farooq Khatak as Joint Secretaries;
Faheem Zubair Abbai, Finance Secretary; and Sardar Fayaz elected as the Secretary Information. Whereas the members of governing body are including Qurban Satti, Rana Zahid Hussain, Syed Tahir Shah, Raja Javed Akhter, Naveed Iqbal Malik, Zubair Ahmed Baloch, Muhammad Rizwan Tahir, Hanif Abid, Chaudhry Adnan Bari, Jafar Ali Balti, Azam Khan Hoti, Ghulam Mustafa Sawati, Kafait Ullah, Arshad Mehmood, Shahid Muhib, Doraiz Kiyani, Akhtar Subhani, Raja Faisal, Kamran Khokhar, Nisar Khattak, Muhammad Wasim Ashraf, Kamran Ali Raza, Jazakallah, Faiza Shah, and Sania Hashmi. Notification ceremony held at National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad. The former President PFUJ, Afzal Butt ; Former President NPC, Shakeel Anjum; President RIUJ, Aamir Sajjad Syed; and others attended the ceremony.
President RIBJA, Nisar Ahmed thanked the members for again showing confidence in his leadership.
