Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and University of Baltistan, Skardu here signed a MoU of bilateral cooperation to promote learning practices, by sharing each other experience and expertise.
The MoU signed during the visit of over 80 students and Faculty members’delegation of the Baltistan University to the main campus of the AIOU.
The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan, Vice Chancellor of University of Baltistan.
The Vice Chancellor AIOU professor Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum while welcoming the delegation said the students from the Northern region could benefit from the AIOU’s huge academic and infrastructure network in their educational persuits.
The AIOU will be prepared to share it’s labs and computer-based resources with the University of Baltistan for the benefit of its students. They could benefit from the open distance education system and the ongoing digital transformation of the AIOU, he added.
According to the AIOU’s Director students affairs Rana Tariq Javed, both the Universities will regularly coordinate with each other to further promote their teaching and learning practices under the MoU.
The MoU, he added also aimed at promoting cultural exchanges and strengthening social interaction among the students of various regions.
