PPP AJK appeals for joint session on Kashmir issue

Muzaffarabad : President Pakistan Peoples Party Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PPP AJK) Chaudhary Latif Akbar appealed the federal government and government of AJK to call a joint session on current situation of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

While addressing a press conference here on Monday, he lamented that federal government has forgotten the Kashmir issue where more than 8 million are under continuous curfew and military sieges for the Last 4 months.

He maintained that we are still looking at Prime Minister Imran Khan after his United Nations General Assembly speech that what he had done since then.

He said, “calling LOC marchers as traitor reflects that a deal has been done on Kashmir, we will not tolerate on any negligence regarding Kashmir issue”.

Terming the successful public power show on 52nd Foundation day of PPP, Latif Akbar said that the decision of commemoration 52nd Foundation day in Kashmir gave a positive message on the other side of Line of Control.

“Our party was founded on the issue of Kashmir, and our martyr leaders (Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto) remained ambassadors of Kashmir and now our leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be our real ambassador on this issue.

While talking on the attack at Central Press Club, he said that incumbent government of AJK should initiate the judicial inquiry about the attack on Central Press Club, Moreover he stated that the departmental inquiry report should be publish and stern action must be taken against the accused.

He further criticized that grade 16 and above posts should be requisite to Public Service Commission and PM must revert the appointments of Minster nephews in Local Government Board AJK where sitting Minister being the chairman of the selection panel appoints his 2 nephews in the department.

He also added that any By-elections in the absence of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) is against the constitution and Election Commission is considered as inactive until the appointment of CEC take place.
