Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khwaja Saad Rafique has alleged that he was locked in van and also not even allowed to speak with lawyers.
According to media reports, Khwaja Saad Rafique was presented in Accountability Court (AC) in Paragon housing society case.
Saad Rafique took stance that I want to say something in court, “Police kept me in habeas corpus for 22 minute while siren sounded and I was locked and police behaviour is not good with us and also with those people who come to the court”.
Saad Rafique said that they are not allowing me to speak with lawyer and security personnel in plain clothes are deployed for watching me. The right to freedom of expression should not be taken away, Saad added.
He said that, “I want to speak outside the court but I am not allowed to speak, people ask me questions and I answer them.
Justice Jawad ul Hasan observed that no one can stop you to speak with lawyers but I cannot allow to make video in the court.
AC Justice remarked “ let the replies of the parties concerned come and the court will decide on it according to law.
Khwaja Saad said that I want to go to Islamabad.
Court replied that you have appeared before the court and you can go to Islamabad.
