ZHOB,(Parliament Times): Like else where in the province, Eid-miladun Nabi and Iqbal Day also celebrated here in Zhob and neighboring district Sherani. A joint ceremony held to celebrate the birth of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and to mark the Iqbal Day. The speakers paid rich tributes to the poet and philosopher Allama Iqbal (poet of east) for inculcating spirit of revolution and freedom among the people of the subcontinent.
The event was organized at government boys’ high school and government middle girls’ school Khankei Zareef Khan Sherani.
District Education Officer Sherani Sheikh Musa Khan Mandokhail was the chief guest of the event. Those who attended the event were including headmaster high school madrasa Khankei Abdul Wadood Hariphal, representative Education Support Programme (ESP) Khalid Kakar, representative Provincial Institute for Teacher Training (PITE) Janat Gul Sherani, organizer Government Teachers Association (GTA) Saleem Akhter Marwat, members Parent-Teacher School Management Committee (PTSMC), ex-councilor Ahmed Khan Sherani and notables in a large number. The students expressed their deep love through soulful speeches and presented Naat.
DEO Sheikh Musa Khan Mandokhail, headmaster Habib-ur-Rehman Hariphal, JET Abdul Karim Sherani and others shed light on the different aspect of the life of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUP). They praised the efforts of school teachers and performance of students to promote Islamic teachings by holding such events. The EDO urged the students to follow the golden teachings of the Holy Prophet to become successful in life. The speakers on the occasion also highlighted the role of Allama Iqbal for instilling the spirit of revolution and freedom among the people of the subcontinent. At the end of the event the chief guest distributed prizes among the students.
