ZHOB: ‘The orphanage center ‘Dar-ul-Ehsas’ established by Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal is looking after around 100 poor orphan children (four to six years of age) from Zhob and neighboring districts and providing them free education, accommodation, transport and health facilities,’ said Ms Aliya Naseeb Mandokhail – in-charge of Dar-ul-Ehsas Zhob, while talking to journalists during their visit.
She said that currently, one hundred poor orphan children were residing at the center and they were being provided free accommodation, quality education, food, laundry, pick and drop and medical facilities at the center established near Sheikhan mosque .
‘The center has accommodated 100 orphans from Zhob, Sherani, Musakhail and Killa Saifullah districts, where they are being provided with all the basic needs of life, including free food (as per weekly menu), laundry service, education at a standard school, computer learning, library, Islamic education and sports facilities.’ She said.
The journalists were given a presentation by In-charge of the centre during their visit. The journalists also reviewed all facilities being provided to orphans at the centre and inspected living rooms, library, computer lab and met the orphan children. The children were asked about the facilities being claimed and provided to them at the center.
Although she expressed satisfaction over the available facilities for the children yet she demanded of the concerned authorities to ensure timely provision of funds, so the management could facilitate the orphan children in a befitting manner. The In-charge assured of all out cooperation for what she termed a ‘noble cause’.
Meanwhile, the journalists observed that the center is lacking a counseling service and skill development facility for the orphan children belonging to different backgrounds.
It is to be mentioned that Dar-ul-Ehsas center – is a project of Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal. PBM is running around 40 orphanage centers with thousands of orphans in different parts of the country.
