Muzaffarabad (Parliament Times): Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) freedom March reached Jiskol near Chakothi Line of Control (LOC) on Sunday.
Protesters were stopped by Police and they sat in front of the obstacles while chanting Anti India slogans.
“Our March is peaceful and we want to cross LOC to help our brethren in Indian Occupied Kashmir” said one of the protestor Faisal when they reached Jiskol.
More than 800 policemen were deployed besides setting containers filled with sand to stop the marchers before they reach LOC.
Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division Chaudhary Imtiaz said in a presser, “we understand the sentiments of marchers but we can’t allow them towards LOC as Indian Army can open fire on these civilians and will consequently give immense loss to human lives”. “
JKLF started their March on 4th October from Bhimber and reached in Muzaffarabad in dusk and then they started their March towards LOC on foot. Portestors stayed at Ghari Dupatta where they resumed their March towards LOC on Sunday and reached Jiskol. JKLF March is to help their brethren in Indian Occupied Kashmir who are facing shortage of food and medicines due to continuous curfew and military siege for the last 63 days
