Rawalpindi: Delegation of State Youth Assembly (SYA) called upon Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at ISPR in Rawalpindi. The State Youth Assembly delegation was led by chairman SYA Imran Khan.
While addressing the SYA delegation and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) youth, COAS said that Kashmir was part and parcel of his soul. “Kashmir is not an issue of geography but our love with the people of Kashmir. Kashmir dispute has to be resolved as per aspirations of people of Kashmir and relevant UNSC resolutions,” COAS said. Army chief added that Indian deliberate targeting of innocent civilians in AJK and continued siege of innocent Kashmiris in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir were worst examples of the human rights violations. “We stand with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters and shall never disappoint them,” said by Army Chief.
COAS further urged the youth to stay steadfast, work hard and have confidence in themselves and the national leadership. Youth also conveyed their resolve and said that Kashmiris on both sides of LOC were, are and shall stay Pakistanis for life.
Chairman State Youth Assembly Imran Khan also presented traditional Kashmiri shawl to the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor.
State Youth Assembly is the first indigenous youth parliament of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. It was founded in 2013.
