MUZAFFARABAD : (Parliament Times) Ameer Jammat-e-Islami Pakistan Senator Siraj ul Haq called on Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan here on Friday.
In meeting, both the leaders expressed grave concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in the occupied valley.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that global body (UN) has completely failed to implement its already passed resolutions on longstanding Kashmir dispute.
Referring to the worst humanitarian crisis in the Occupied Kashmir, he urged United Nations to break its silence and play a proactive role by exerting pressure on India to lift the prolonged curfew.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that women, children and elders in Kashmir are the worst victims of Indian state terrorism and they are looking towards the global community to step forward and stop their genocide at the hands of Indian armed forces.
He added that eight million Kashmiris are stranded in their houses and the occupied valley has been turned into a world’s largest jail.
The Prime Minister said due to Hindu extremist ideology, Muslims are not safe even inside India. “India through abrogation of the special status of the disputed territory wants to change the demographic composition of the valley. It attempted to change the Muslim majority into minority.” He further said.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Siraj ul Haq has strongly condemned the Indian atrocities on the innocent Kashmiris and assured AJK Prime Minister that whole Pakistani nation is standing with their Kashmiris brethren in this time of crisis.
“I came here in Muzaffarabad to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren and assuring them that would fight the Kashmir case at all available forums forcefully”, Siraj stated.
He also criticized the criminal silence of world body and international community over the Indian barbaric action in the occupied Valley.
Ameer Jammat-e-Islami said that Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with the UNSC resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri Muslims.
Senator Siraj ul Haq also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and properties in Mirpur Earthquake and assured AJK Prime Minister that he and his party would extend all possible assistance to the quake victims.
