ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has adjourned till September 16 petition seeking removal of Maryam Nawaz daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the slot of vice president of PML-N.
The petition seeking removal of Maryam Nawaz from party slot came up for hearing before ECP Wednesday.
ECP bench presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Hayat heard the petition.
Associate counsel said Barrister Zafar Ullah counsel for Maryam Nawaz is outside the country.
Chief Election Commissioner while expressing displeasure over absence of counsel for Maryam Nawaz said had you told about it on previous hearing and we would not have fixed the case for hearing today.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till September 16.
