Will start giving keys of houses to 50 pc population till 2020: Minister for housing
Islamabad:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Federal minister for housing and works Tariq Bashir Cheema has said that the process of provision of houses to 50 percent population that is deprived of houses will be started till 2020.
He said work is being done speedily upon the project of housing scheme.
Naya Pakistan Housing Authority has also been constituted in order to complete Naya Pakistan Housing programme, he added.
He said the agenda of Naya Pakistan Housing Authority is to construct 50, 00000 houses in the country.
Talking about Talian Housing project in Islamabad, he said if the matter of land and access to roads is not resolved in Talian joint venture then this project will be ended.
In 2020, we will start to handover keys of houses to people.
He said we are with the vision of Prime Minister but as allies if reservations increase then we will not take office of new portfolio.
He said ruling party had agreed with us to give us two portfolios in federation, we have been given one ministry while the second one depends upon Chaudhry Shujaat consent and no one can make any interference.
He said Pakistan has supported UAE in their hard time but to give an award to a man like Modhi whose hands are stained with the blood of Muslims is a matter of grave concern, he said.
He said extension in the tenure of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is a good step.
