KARACHI: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh has arrested three terrorists affilated with proscibed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi for their alleged involvement in target killing of policemen and sectarian violence.
The terrorists are involved in the target killing of 6 persons including police personnel.
Addressing a press conference Incharge CTD Raja Omar Khattab said 3 terrorists linked to banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and involved in target killing of police personnel and sectarian violence were arrested. They included Mirza Omar Farooq Beg, Syed Zabih Ullah alias Taliban and Fazl-e-Raziq alias Raziq. Two policemen Alalh Dino and Ahmad Ali were martyred in the jurisdiction of Orangi police. The terrorists had escaped to Balochistan. Police exchanged information with Levis. The Levis during operation killed 3 terrorists on Quetta road.The remaining fled Balochistan.
On August 20 it was informed that the remaining terrorists of this group are returning to Karachi via Balochistan.
Police cordoned off the area and three terrorists were arrested while they were entering into Karachi on foot. Arms have been recovered from the arrested terrorists.
The arrested accused confessed that they were returning to Karachi to complete the incomplete mission of Sheikh Aftab alias Firoun.
