ISLAMABAD: The physical remand of arrested former Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been extended for further 14 days in LNG case.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was presented Thursday in the Accountability Court (AC) led by judge Muhammad Bashir.
Judge Muhammad Bashir inquired from NAB prosecutor how much remand is further needed .
NAB prosecutor told the court remand for further 14 days is needed.
PML-N leader said his remand be given how much they want. During the investigation they demand documents. I give reply whatever questions they ask.
Judge Muhammad Bashir said “ I give the remand for further 14 days. Try to complete the investigation. Present Khaqan Abbasi in the court on August 29 again.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi met ;PML-N leaders Khawaja Asif, Maryam Aurangzeb and Musaddaq Malik in court room.
A journalist asked Abbasi outside court if he has made NAB understand LNG case.
Former petroleum minister said we are making them to understand. It will take some time. More two weeks have been given.
When again asked by the journalist does he think NAB will understand it within 14 days.
Abbasi said “ we will try. It is syllabus of adult Literacy.
