Muzaffarabad: Indian Independence Day was commemorated as Black Day in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, A rally was staged from Burhan Wani Chowk to Alamdar Chowk Gharipan under the aegis of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Jammu and Kashmir here on Thursday.
People in protest were holding banners, placards and chanted slogans against India, some of the main slogans were, “Go India Go Back, We want Freedom, UN we seek your attention.”
One of the main banner in the protest also stated that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and we don’t accept any illegal actions of Indian government, our armed struggle will remain continuous till our freedom from Indian Occupation.
Deputy Supreme Commander Saif ullah Khalid was leading the protest rally, while addressing the rally he said India has usurp the basic rights of the people living in Jammu and Kashmir, “Our armed struggle is constant for the last three decades and we were compelled to resist as Indian armed forces brutalities left no other option for us.” Saif ullah stated.
He said that People of Jammu and Kashmir realized that Indian wants their land and has nothing to do with the people living there, “India tried to change the demography of Kashmir and she defied the international laws and UN resolutions through abrogation in article 35-A, this is a planned strategy to convert Muslim majority areas into minority” Khalid maintained.
“We want to make it clear that as long as Indian troops occupy any part of Jammu and Kashmir, our indigenous armed struggle will continue, no bargaining or any negotiation will be accepted over the blood of our young martyrs” Khalid added.
He appealed that Government of Pakistan should uplift the ban on organizations engaged in armed struggle for Kashmir freedom of movement, saying that every Kashmiri will play a decisive role for the liberation of Jammu and Kashmir in this crucial time.
He also appealed United Nations and other international organizations to take stern action against Indian aggression and human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Earlier, the day was started by leaving black balloons with black flags in the air stating “Youm-e-Siah (Black Day)” and protestors also penned condemnation statements on Indian flag.
Member Hizb command council Abdullah Malik, Shamsher Khan, Muhammad Azam Ghazi, Muhammad Asghar Rasool, Hurriyat members Ishtiaq Hameed, Mushtaq ul Islam, Shaukat Javed Mir, Secretary Kashmir Liberation Cell Mansoor Qadir Dar were also present in the rally.
