AKFM stages protest demo in front of Indian High Commission

ISLAMABD:(Parliament Times) Kashmiris staged a massive protest demo under All Kashmir Forum against abrogation of Article 370 and killing of Kashmiris  in front of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad on Wednesday, says an AKFM spokesman told media here on Thursday.
“Kashmir is an UN-recognised  international dispute and India can never hurt it in any form included its status through the division of the disputed occupied territory. All Kashmir Forum said, according  to the spokesman.
It said that large number of people including elderly persons, youth, journalists, women and students gathered constitution avenue chanting slogans against India and for freedom of the Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
Addressing the protest rally speakers including senior Kashmiri leaders Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Abdul Hameed Lone, Coordinator AKF Abdul Basit Khan, Khan Akmal Khan, Ejaz Rehmani, Altaf Hussain Wani, Daud Khan Yousufzai, Ahmad Raza Qadri, Muhammad Al-Hassan, Sardar Mazhar, Zeeshan Kaszmi, Manzoor-ul-Haq Butt, Zahid Safi, Younas Baig, Sardar Effan Attique and others urged the United Nations and other international bodies to take immediate notice of the changes regarding the occupied territory because the amendments made by the Indian government in its constitution were against the international law and resolutions of the United Nations.
“Articles 370 and 35A guarantee special status and special rights to the citizens of the internationally-acknowledged disputed Jammu and Kashmir state in Indian occupation”, they underlined.
Speakers vowed to give a new impetus and step up the liberation movement shoulder to shoulder the brethren in occupied Jammu &  Kashmir. “India would have to face a new challenge”, they declared.
“All Kashmir Forum express deep anguish on the scrapping of Article 370 through the Presidential Ordinance and the current buildup of paramilitary troops in occupied Kashmir cities and on the Line of Control (LoC)’, the Coordinaotr of the organization Abdul Basit said while addressing the rally.
“It is manifestly marked by the rally that the current flare up together with unlawful  alteration of the Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India is in direct response to the US President Donald Trump’s offer of mediation to resolve the 71-year-old UN-recognized conflict in accordance with the aspirations of the people of  Jammu & Kashmir”, Basit declared by referring to the unanimous declaration of the rally, the  spokesman added .
