Rawalpindi: Elaborate measures have taken by Rawalpindi Cantt Board to ensure complete eradication of dengue virus in the cantonment area.
A report presented to the concerned authorities says that RCB administration along with provincial government and district government were doing their best to rid the area of dengue virus. According to the report special teams have been constituted and deployed in different areas for extensive surveillance to combat dengue effectively. While on the other hand a team has been tasked to conduct anti-dengue spray in the area besides raising community awareness vis-à-vis the spread and dengue prevention measures.
Meanwhile the RCB authorities have issued show cause notices to 345 non licensed proprietors during the past one month and directed them to restore their licenses without any further delay. Moreover the authorities have recovered revenue worth Rs. 6 lakhs besides confiscating 215 license.
Notices have been released by Food branch of cantonment board against substandard cleanliness.
According to the details RCB’s food branch officials inspected 25 different food points in the cantonment area including Saddar, Peshawar road and Allabad out of which notices were issued to 12 owners for substandard cleanliness and operating without license. The officials have collected 14 food samples and sent them to the laboratory for testing purposes.
The RCB’s Electric Branch on the other hand have solved 263 out of 320 complaints during the past one month. According to details complaints were registered by the residents hailing from ward 2 and ward 9.
