BARCELONA: The Prime Minister of Azad State of Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan urged overseas Kashmiris to make organized and collaborated efforts for highlighting Kashmir issue over the globe, says a dispatch received here on Tuesday.
Addressing a reception held for him by Nida-e-Kashmir Barcelona on the other day he said Pakistani and Kashmiri community expressed unprecedented solidarity with Kashmiris by holding a historic rally on Kashmir Martyrs Day in Barcelona. It sent a very positive message all over Europe and boosted the morale of oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
People of Kashmir including children, youth, women and elderly have been braving the aggression of Indian brute forces for several decades, he maintained. “Women were raped and gang raped, children and youth were targeted with pellet guns by Indian forces, depriving them from visions and horrifically injuring their bodies”, he stated.
Mr. Haider said people of AJK should spare time to apprise the international community that Kashmiris were peaceful people and that their struggle was for their internationally recognized right to self-determination. “The history written by Kashmiris has no parallel in the world as a few hundred thousand Kashmiris have been resisting against a country of 1 billion and 20 crores since 1947”, he observed. He said freedom struggle intensified after the martyrdom of Kashmiri hero Burhan Muzaffar Wani. He said his mission would be carried on until the goal was achieved.
The Prime Minister said contacts with Kashmiri associations that had been making efforts for highlighting Kashmir issue would be strengthened. He said policy research forum was inking MOU with different organizations so that human rights violations of Indian forces and their unprovoked shelling from across the LoC could be shared with them.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed, secretary general PML-N Europe Naeem Chaudhry, secretary for PM Raja Amjad Pervaiz Ali, secretary Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell Mansoor Qadir Dar, director general Fida Hussain Kiani and Kashmiri community attended the reception.
