Firdous Ashiq Awan lauds AIOU’s contribution in education sector

Islamabad:     Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan lauded the role of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in the educational sector and hoped it would further extend its academic network to serve the marginalized section of the society.
She was talking with the students and the University’s staff during his visit to ‘Education Expo’ held here at Pak-China Friendship Center.
She said government will support this Mega University to promote quality education. While referring to AIOU’s Campus at Sialkot, she said she is prepared to facilitate it doing its best for catering the educational needs of the local people.
During the visit, Chairman Department of Mass Communication Dr. Saqib Riaz and Director Students affairs Rana Tariq Javed briefed the Minister about University’s academic programs and its country-wide infrastructure network..
