Islamabad: Future Team Pakistan delegates won awards for their outstanding performance at the 3rd BRICS and SCO Student Spring International Festival in Stavropol, Russia. Awais Kazmi from Pakistan, who is an emerging guitarist won the ‘Art Hall’ category of International Spring Festival-Russia for his best performance where 90 performers from over 25 nationalities showed their talent. The award was handed over to Awais Kazmi and Aqib Javed Khan, head of Pakistani delegation at festival.
Another Future Team Pakistan delegate Samar Khan represented Pakistan in Friendship Marathon. She secured her niche in top 10 and won medal in the marathon amongst 2500 participants.
Earlier the 15 members official delegation of Future Team Pakistan participated in 3rd BRICS and SCO Student Spring International Festival, which held from 4-8 June, 2019 in Starvapol, Russia. The delegation comprised of young emerging leaders from all across Pakistan which were: Najiullah Khattak, Cedric Aimal Edwin, Rahim Khan, Hammad Khan, Ayesha Zaman, Samar Khan, Huzaifa Ubaid Khan, Shafiq Afridi, Mohsin Raheem Khan, Samiullah Hassan, Amen Amir, Awais Kazmi, Umair Ali and Danyal Ahmed.
The 3rd BRICS and SCO Student Spring International Festival closed with an official concluding ceremony. The ceremony was concluded with the performance of BRICS and SCO hymn by a thousand-strong children choir and by launching a huge air balloon with the flags of member countries on it. Russian President Vladimir Putin also sent greetings to participants, organisers and guests of the the 3rd BRICS and SCO Student Spring International Festival in Stavropol.
