100 officers of Education Department promoted to grade-19

MUZAFFARABAD:   (Parliament Times)  On the direction of AJK chief secretary Mathar Niaz Rana 100 officers of education department got selection board and were promoted to grade-19.

The special meeting of   Selection board chaired by the chief secretary held here on Monday made this decision. The meeting declared 100 female officers, senior subject specialists and senior headmistresses of elementary and secondary education eligible for promotion to grade-19 to work as Principals.

Secretary Elementary and Secondary Board Raja Amjad Pervaiz Ali Khan told the Selection Board that promotion cases of SESB were pending since 2014 on certain grounds. He said according to National Education Policy of AJK education department (teaching cadre) rules 2016 was enforced following which the disputes of seniority were settled down.

After issuance of final seniority list male cadres, selection board was carried out in 2018 while the female cadre was being presented before selection board for promotion after 2014, he added.

In his remarks chief secretary said the legitimate issues of government employees should not be kept pending. He said they should be given their due rights always to ensure they are not feeling any restlessness or frustration. Resolving their problems would help them concentrate properly on their duties, he stated.

Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education expressed thanks to chief secretary for taking personal interests in resolving promotion cases of employees. He said promotion cases of officers in grade-16,17 and 18 would also be taken up soon on the direction of the CS.

The officers promoted also expressed profound gratitude of the chief secretary for resolving their long pending cases.
