    Altaf Hamid Rao,

MIRPUR (AJK):  The Benazir Income Support Program Chairperson Dr Sania Nishtar Friday directed the field offices of her organization across the country including AJK to pay extra care and vigilance in transparent distribution of quarterly tranche to the beneficiaries.

In a letter addressed to Regional directors, Divisional directors, Deputy divisional directors and Assistant directors working across Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, the BISP Chief said “You are aware of the fact that, the beneficiaries of BISP belong to the poorest of the poor segment of the society, and fulfilling the constitutional responsibility the Federal Government is providing the due support to the unheard voices of the country as envisaged in Islamic Welfare state. Despite of financial constraints, the Government has allocated sufficient amount for this noble cause and increased further through the platform of “Ehsaas Program”,” she wrote in a letter.

She continued writing, that all the field staff is duty bound to ensure the transparency in disbursement of the tranche being custodian of their respective areas. She further quoted Quranic verses in her letter from Surah Nisa 58 “Lo! Allah commandeth you that ye restore deposits to their owners, and, if ye judge between mankind, that ye judge justly. Lo! comely is this which Allah admonisheth you. Lo! Allah is ever Hearer, Seer. ?58? “ and Surah Nisa 9 And let those fear (in their behaviour toward orphans) who if they left behind them weak offspring would be afraid for them. So let them mind their duty to Allah, and speak justly. ?9?.

She further shared, that we are aware that some interest groups try to get benefit from beneficiary stipend and also appreciated the continuous efforts and vigilance being put in by field staff, resulted in reducing complaints in last couple of tranches. She further added, that I expect the entire staff to be fair, just and transparent in discharge of their duty while disbursing the money to the deserving people, and contribute their bit towards for the facilitation of the beneficiaries across Pakistan.
