    ANF seized 503 kg drugs in 21 operations arresting 23 persons

    ISLAMABAD:    Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 503 Kg Narcotics valuing Rs. 1.01 Billion internationally,
    arrested 23 culprits and impounded 8 vehicles while conducting 21 counter-narcotic strikes. The
    seized drugs comprised of 102.31 Kg Hashish, 376.6 Kg Opium, 13.934 Kg Heroin, 4.625 Kg
    Methamphetamine (Ice) and 5.184 Kg Amphetamine (Ice).
    As per details, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Insaf Gul resident of Hangu at
    Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.130 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) from his bag. He was
    boarding for Jeddah through Flight No PA-272. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi Intercepted a
    Toyota Corolla Car near Tarnol Railway Crossing, GT Road, Islamabad and recovered 3.580 Kg
    Heroin which was concealed in 4x ladies suits (Lehengas) placed in car and front door of the said
    vehicle. A person onboard namely Saleem Khan resident of Peshawar was arrested on the spot. In
    third operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Muhammad Shahzad resident
    of Sheikhupura and recovered 1 Kg Opium and 1 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was
    arrested near Tarkai Toll Plaza, main GT Road, Jehlum. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested
    an accused namely Saqib Khan resident of Nowshera at Islamabad International Airport and
    recovered 2.920 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) from his travelling bag. He was travelling to Medina through
    Flight No GF-771. In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused person namely Zahid
    Hussain resident of Gujrat at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 10.354 Kg Heroin which
    was concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Manchester via Dubai by Flight No EK-613. In
    sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Muhammad Shahid resident of Sawabi
    at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 1.134 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) which was soaked in
    his Ihram. He was boarding for Jeddah through Flight No PA-270. In seventh operation, ANF
    Rawalpindi on intelligence based information intercepted a Bedford Truck near Baga Morr, GT Road,
    Islamabad and recovered 308.4 Kg Opium and 51.6 Kg Hashish which was tactfully concealed in
    secret cavities of the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused persons namely Said Afzal and Aziz ur
    Rehman both residents of Khyber Agency were arrested during the operation.
    ANF Lahore intercepted a motorcycle near Sambrial Dry port, Sialkot and recovered 1.050 Kg
    Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad Anwar resident of
    Sialkot. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a motorcycle near Godar Chowk, Muzaffargarh
    and recovered 12 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two arrested accused persons
    identified as Ghulam Shabbir and Akhtar Abbas both residents of Muzaffargarh. In third operation,
    ANF Lahore intercepted a motorcycle near Godar Chowk, Muzaffargarh and recovered 4.8 Kg
    Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely Muhammad Ansar resident of
    Muzaffargarh. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Thokar Niaz
    Baig Interchange, Lahore and recovered 1.5 Kg Hashish which was concealed in driving seat of the
    said vehicle. A person onboard namely Niaz Ullah resident of Khyber Agency was arrested on the
    spot. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely Javed Khan resident of Khyber
    Agency and recovered 1.5 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested from Ali Hotel
    located near Ashfaq Chowk, Lahore. In sixth operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused namely
    Muhammad Tauseef resident of Faisalabad and recovered 4 Kg Hashish from his personal

    possession. He was arrested near Allied Morr, Sargodha Road, Faisalabad. In seventh operation,
    ANF Lahore recovered 500 gram Hashish from personal possession of the arrested accused namely
    Shahzad Masih resident of Multan. He was arrested near Al-Abbas Wagon Stand, Multan. In eighth
    operation, ANF Lahore arrested an accused person namely Shafqat Ullah resident of Mandi
    Bahauddin and recovered 5 Kg Hashish from his personal possession. He was arrested near Faisal
    Movers Bus Terminal, Vehari Chowk, Multan. In ninth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a
    motorcycle near Rural Health Center, Adda Baseera, Muzaffargarh and recovered 2 Kg Hashish from
    personal possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Muhammad Hanif and Shamir
    Hussain both residents of Muzaffargarh.
    ANF Peshawar conducted two separate operations at Peshawar International Airport and
    arrested two accused persons namely Syed Shams ul Haq and Muhammad Iqbal both resident of
    Nowshera and recovered 1.275 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) and 1.5 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice)
    respectively which was tactfully concealed in their Briefcase and travelling bag. They were travelling
    to Jeddah through Flight No PA-670. In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki
    Cultus near Kohat Bridge, Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 67.2 Kg Opium and 16.8 Kg Hashish
    from trunk of the said vehicle. A person onboard namely Asim Raza resident of Kohat was arrested
    on the spot. In third operation, ANF Peshawar arrested an accused namely Ali Sher resident of Buner
    at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.850 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) which was
    concealed in his bag. He was boarding for Jeddah by Flight No SV-797. In fourth operation, ANF
    Peshawar intercepted a Doha bound parcel from cargo terminal located at Peshawar International
    Airport and recovered 560 gram Hashish which was concealed in 10x Trousers.
    All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and
    further investigations are underway.
