AJK PM chaired two separate meetings of AJK industries and mineral departments

MUZAFFARABAD:  (Parliament Times)     The AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan chaired two separate meetings of AJK industries and mineral departments here on Monday. The meetings decided to turn the industries and AKMIDC profitable departments. The meeting also decided to restore Dudyal industrial zone and that government would give special package to industrialists for promotion of this sector. Industries department would evolve recommendations and obtain its approval. The meeting further decided that comprehensive mechanism would be introduced for auctioning of industrial areas and plots.

The Prime Minister directed all the departments of the State to clear the outstanding payments of printing press to enable it to be a profitable organization. It was decided that alternate land would be provided in lieu of Industries land which was under use of certain projects. The meeting decided that projects worth 64 crore would be included for Industries in the next fiscal year’s budget. The meeting added that administrative expenses for provision of free of interest loans under Akhuwat would be made available by AJK government through Industries department. In the AKMIDC meeting it was decided that the department would be turned into a profitable one. A comprehensive plan would be made to be presented to AJK government, the meeting decided. Addressing on the occasion the Prime Minister said natural resources of the State are public property. He directed that environment and mineral departments should jointly formulate a policy to avoid environment pollution during exploiting the resources. The Premier assured that the issue of salaries of AKMIDC employees would soon be resolved. He said two projects of the department would be included in the next development budget.
