Islamabad: Abdul Rehman Makki brother-in-law of chief of banned outfit Jamaat -ud -Dawa Hafiz Saeed has been arrested from Gujranwala.
According to interior ministry, arrest of Abdul Rehman Makki was made in regards with ongoing crackdown against banned outfits.
He was arrested for making provocative speeches and creating law and order situation..
Interior ministry said that Maulana Abdul Rehman delivered a provocative speech upon ongoing crackdown against banned outfits in Gujranwala and he also appealed to public to make donations to his organisation Falah –e- Insaniat.
Maulana Abdul Rehman Makki also criticized the steps being taken by Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
Practically Abdul Rehman Makki was Naib Ameer of banned JuD and he was also the supervisor of political activities of his party.
