Rawalpindi: The Punjab Food Authority has seized 1,060 kilo germ-infested meat during conducted a raid in the area of Bagh Sardaran Allah Wali Masjid, on Sunday. The raid was conducted under the supervision of a veterinary officer.
PFA Director General Captain (R) Muhammad Usman said that PFA has raided on a godown of Rehman Beef and recovered more than 26 maunds unhygienic meat. He said that PFA has sealed beef shop and its warehouse while registering an FIR against three people. He said that food authority has discarded stale and poor quality meat after bringing at the dumping site. He said that the authority has taken action against the butcher on the complaint of the citizen. DG further said that the use of unhygienic meat causes health diseases and disturb the human digestive system. Punjab Food Authority is fully active and taking all necessary steps to ensure the provision of healthy and safe food in the Punjab province as per the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
