MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The deputy commissioner Muzaffarabad Badar Munir chaired a meeting in his chamber on Saturday in connection with providing better facilities during the month of Ramazanul Mubarak.
Officials of AJK electricity department, public health, public works, civil defense, food, met office, AJK radio, Municipal Corporation, and police officers and magistrates attended the meeting.
The DC told the participants that there would be no power outages during the Sehr and Iftar in Ramazan. Officials of electricity department told that a control room would be set up to combat any emergency situation. He said the department had alternate transformers which could replace the defective transformers during emergency. The representatives of public health and water assured the meeting that water tankers would be provided on demand in major mosques including Hamam Wali Masjid, Imam Bargah, Jamia Masjid Eidgah road and others. However, he told that the timing of provision of water would remain the same
A control room would also be established in public health department to cater with the emergency situation. Radio Pakistan representative assured that Iftar and Sehr timing would be highlighted in radio programmes and news. He said a special transmission would also be started for Iftar and Sehr.
The meeting was told that National Action Plan would also be strictly adhered to. Special programmes would be aired for peace and security, religious harmony and brotherhood, the meeting was told.
The district health officials of health department also told about the special measures to be taken during the Ramazan. The DC urged officials of all department to ensure that people are provided best facilities during the fasting month.
