ANF seized 3.148 ton drugs in 32 operations;

arrested 31 persons and intercepted 8 vehicles involved in drug smuggling,

 

RAWALPINDI:    Determined to uproot drug menace from the country and the world, Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 3.148 Ton Narcotics valuing Rs. 3.44 Billion internationally, arrested 31 culprits
and impounded 8 vehicles while conducting 32 counter-narcotic strikes. The seized drugs
comprised of 3056 Kg Hashish, 67.689 Kg Heroin, 11.8 Kg Opium, 5.25 Kg Methamphetamine
(Ice), 4.314 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) and17818x Xanax Tabs (weighing 3.02 Kg).
As per details, ANF Quetta conducted an intelligence based operation at general area of
Sabzal, near Panjgur-Quetta Road, Panjgur and recovered 10 Kg Hashish and seized without
registration no motorcycle. In another operation, ANF Quetta conducted an intelligence based
operation at general area of Killi Nazar Kariz, Tehsil Roghni, District Qilla Abdullah and recovered
2850 Kg Hashish from Rainy Nullah. In third operation, ANF Quetta recovered 5.050 Kg Heroin
from general area of Killi Yak Mach, Tehsil Nokundi and District Chaghi. In fourth operation,
Quetta intercepted a Suzuki Cultus car without registration no and recovered 39 Kg Hashish and
10 Kg Heroin from a said vehicle. Culprits succeeded to escape the spot taking advantage of
darkness. As per preliminary reports, drug was placed for handing over to another narcotics gang
for further transportation.
ANF Rawalpindi recovered 600 Gram Hashish from personal possession of the arrested
accused namely Tila Muhammad resident of Mardan. He was arrested near Tarkai Toll Plaza,
Main GT Road, Jehlum. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested Altaf Hussain resident of
Mardan at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 7310x Xanax Tabs (weighing 1.7 Kg)
which was concealed in his trolley bag. He was boarding for Riyadh by Flight No PA-274. In third
operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested UK national namely Abdul Rasheed at Islamabad
International Airport and recovered 625 Gram Heroin from his personal possession. He was
boarding for London through flight no PK-791. In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an
accused namely Nawab Zada resident of Sawat at Islamabad International Airport and recovered
3.112 Kg Hashish from his trolley bag. He was boarding for Doha through flight no PK-287. In fifth
operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Muhammad Amjad Khan resident of
Bagh at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 940 Gram Amphetamine (Ice) which was
concealed his travelling bag. He was boarding for Riyadh through flight no KU-206. In sixth
operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 5 Kg Heroin from personal possession of the arrested
accused namely Shams ur Rehman resident of Mardan. He was arrested near 26 No Chungi Bus
Stop, Islamabad. In seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 1 Kg Hashish from personal
possession of the arrested accused namely Raheem Gul resident of Charsadda. He was arrested
near 26 No Chungi Bus Stop, Islamabad. In eighth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an
accused namely Muhammad Jasim resident of Hangu at Islamabad International Airport and
recovered 3 Kg Hashish and 300 Gram Amphetamine (Ice) from his trolley bag. He was boarding
for Doha through flight no QR-633. In ninth operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused
namely Umer Daraz resident of Khushab and recovered 650 Gram Amphetamine (Ice) from his
personal possession. He was arrested near Shaheen Chemist, Sector F-11, Islamabad. In tenth

operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Tarnol Railway Crossing Point,
Islamabad and recovered 10 Kg Hashish which was concealed in front doors of the said vehicle. A
person on board namely Khyal Mat Shah resident of Khyber Agency was arrested on the spot. In
eleventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused namely Faiz ur Rehman resident of
Haripur at Islamabad International Airport and recovered 924 Gram Amphetamine (Ice) concealed
in his Bag. He was proceeding to Riyadh through flight no GS-152.
ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla Car near Kote Abdul Malik, Motorway
Interchange, Sheikhupura and recovered 3.6 Kg Opium from secret cavities of the said vehicle.
Resultantly an accused namely Javed Muhammad resident of Swabi was arrested during the
operation. In another operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Motorcycle near Madina Market,
Circular Road, Lahore and recovered 1.2 Kg Opium and 4.8 Kg Hashish from personal
possession of the two arrested accused persons namely Muhammad Adnan Yousaf and
Muhammad Zaid residents of Lahore. In third operation, ANF Lahore arrested two accused
personas namely Kaleem Ullah and Muhammad Mustafa both residents of Laki Marwat and
recovered 700 Gram Hashish from their personal possession. Both were arrested near Lucky
Marwat Hotel, Pervaiz Wala, Khanewal. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 7 Kg Opium
and 37.4 kg Hashish from suspected sack bushes side the road near Al-Madina Hotel, Khushab
road, Khushab. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car near Gojra
Motorway Toll Plaza, Gojra and recovered 1.2 Kg Hashsih from secret cavity of the vehicle. A
person on board namely Muhammad Ismail resident of Peshawar was arrested on the spot.
ANF Peshawar conducted a raid near Zaiqa Hotel, Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered
13.2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the three arrested accused namely Muhammad
Jamal, Izat Khan and Rahim Dad all residents of Khyber Agency. In another operation, ANF
Peshawar arrested Nisar Khan resident of Peshawar at Peshawar International Airport and
recovered 2758x Xanax Tabs (weighing 310 Gram) which was concealed in 3x bottles placed in
his bag. He was boarding for Jeddah through flight no PK-735. In third operation, ANF Peshawar
arrested two accused persons namely Ahmed Noor Afridi resident of Kohat and Maaz Ali resident
of Peshawar at Peshawar International Airport and recovered 7750x Xanax Tabs (weighing 1.010
Kg) which was concealed in bottles placed in their bags. He was boarding for Jeddah through
flight no SV-797. In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar in collaboration with FC KP intercepted a
Union Star Motorcycle near FC Check Post, Hayatabad Phase-III, Peshawar and recovered 990
Gram Methamphetamine (Ice) which was concealed under the seat cover of the seized
motorcycle. In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar arrested Badshah Khalid resident of Upper Dir at
Peshawar International Airport and recovered 1.5 Kg Amphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in
his bag. He was travelling to Behrain through Flight No GF-785. In sixth operation, ANF Peshawar
arrested an accused namely Izzat Mir Khan resident of Hangu at Peshawar International Airport
and recovered 2.260 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in Prayer mat (Jai Nimaz).
He was travelling to Behrain through Flight No GF-785.
ANF Karachi conducted a raid near Government Primary School, Mubarak Village, Keamari
Town, Karachi and recovered 27 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 2x bags. In another
operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a Toyota Corolla car near Shikarpur Road, Sukkur and
recovered 40 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. Two persons on board namely Shah Murad
resident of Jaffarabad and Ali Dost resident of Naseerabad were arrested during the operation. In
third operation, ANF Karachi arrested two accused persons namely Abdul Basit resident of
Karachi and Abdullah resident of Benazirabad and recovered 2 Kg Methamphetamine (Ice) from

their personal possession. They were arrested near Al-Rehmat Eye Hospital, Quaidabad. In fourth
operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a container at Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT),
Karachi and recovered 15.010 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 5x Rice Bags placed in the said
container. In fifth operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a Toyota Hilux near Village Jamra, Shikarpur
road, Shikarpur and recovered 42 Kg Hashish from the said vehicle. Resultantly two accused on
board namely Karamdad and Khan Muhammad both residents of Quetta were arrested on the
spot. In sixth operation, ANF Karachi intercepted a container at Qasim International Container
Terminal (QICT), Karachi and recovered 5.004 Kg Heroin which was concealed in 6x Flour Bags
placed in the said container.
All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations under CNS Act 1997 and
further investigations are underway.
