Baloch terrorists involved in attack on security forces had come from Iran: FM


ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said Baloch terrorists involved in attack on security forces had come from Iran.

“ 15 to 20 terrorists entered from Iranian borders on April 18. I could not give statement the way India had given after Pulwama incident. Now I have credible information. Iranian authorities have been informed about such territories. Pakistan has set up a new Southern Command and its headquarters will be in Turbat” this was said by FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi while addressing a news conference in Islamabad Saturday

He held Pakistan has expressed the confidence that Iran will take visible action against the elements operating from its soil for terrorist acts in Balochistan.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Pakistan has shared actionable intelligence with the Iranian authorities after investigation about the involvement of these elements in the recent terrorist act on the Coastal Highway.
He said BRAs, an alliance of three Baloch terrorist organizations, carried out the attack which killed fourteen people including ten personnel of Pakistan. He said these Baloch terrorist outfits have logistic camps inside the Iranian border.
The Foreign Minister said Iran is a fraternal neighboring country and we have longstanding relationship with it. He expressed the confidence that Tehran will take action against these outfits.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that he also held a detailed telephonic talk with the Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif Saturday and he assured full cooperation to trace these elements.
He underlined Such elements are there which want to bedevil Pakistan-Iran ties. Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline is important but international sanctions have come on the way.

He held we want ideal relations with all the four neighboring countries. All know it well who is patronizing Baloch terrorist outfits. I had made mention of dates from 16 to 20 and the incident took place on 18. Infiltration is done under pre-conceived scheme.

He said enemy wants to destabilize Pakistan by sponsoring terrorism in Balochistan. Ormara incident can be conspiracy of the enemy.

He remarked Prime Minister Imran Khan visit to Iran will take place on time. Pakistan does not run away from arbitration. If Iran desires so then Pakistan is ready. Pakistan is ready to lend every support for peace in Middle East.

He underlined no operation has to be conducted in Balochistan and we have to give the message of love therein. We will not repeat mistakes of past.
