Muzaffarabad: Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali denounced the on-going elections in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and stated it as deceitful elections.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that people of Jammu and Kashmir do not accept Indian occupation and recent boycott has demonstrated that, “we condemn the election when Hurriyat leadership face imprisonments, house arrests besides conducting the so called elections in surveillance of Indian armed forces” Ghazali maintained.
India has always suppressed the voice of innocent Kashmiri people and imposed the forced elections, “However, these elections are not alternatives of plebiscite, but it violates human rights and against the democratic freedom” he said.
He said that Indian government conducted fraudulent elections to deceive the world as the people of Jammu and Kashmir have rejected these elections every time.
“This boycott and less turn over ratio in elections is an open referendum of Kashmir freedom of movement, Indian politicians should admire that we (Kashmiri) do not accept Indian occupation and Jammu and Kashmir will be liberated from Indian occupation before long” Ghazali added.
He appealed the United Nations to implement its resolutions on Kashmir and provide the people of Jammu and Kashmir their basic right to decide their future through a free fair and impartial plebiscite.
