KARACHI:      MQM Pakistan has demanded of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to interfere in Sindh.

MQM Pakistan leaders while addressing a conference here Saturday said people resources have been snatched in the name of provincial autonomy.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said chief secretary Sindh belongs to interior Sindh. Those who had dismembered Pakistan have now divided Sindh.

He held that properties were snatched from Muhajirs in the name of nationalization. Sindh has been divided into two parts already through quota system. The attitude of PPP has led to division of Sindh. Sindh are two and only announcement has yet to be made.

He underlined that MQM and people were deceived through 18th amendment. The resources of Sindh should be devolved at gross root level forthwith. Karachi is becoming victim of multiple problems including water problem fast. Constitutional measures be taken to give their due and just rights to urban areas, he demanded.

He stated that jobs are given in rural areas and then they are posted in urban areas. Commissioner, DC and other officers of Karachi hail from rural areas of Sindh, he added.

Hatred prevails in urban areas of Sindh against quota system.

The population of urban areas of Sindh is over 40 million and it is responsibility of federation to take action against injustice. Article 149 is part of the constitution and it is for use.
