Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Badgam district, Friday.
The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation in Sutsoo Kalan Nowgam area of the district. Earlier, five Indian troops were injured in an attack in the same area. The operation continued till last reports came in.
A police spokesman claimed that the youth were militants and were killed in a clash with the troops. He said the identity of the youth is being ascertained.
These fresh killings raised the number of martyred youth to six since yesterday. The troops had killed four youth during violent cordon and search operations in Shopian and Kupwara districts, yesterday.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old youth Muzaffar Ahmed Hajam was injured after he was fired upon by unknown gunmen at Midoora in Tral area of Pulwama district.
On the other hand, Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, and the General Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai, in their statements issued in Srinagar paid rich tributes to the martyred youth. They said that the Kashmiri youth were spilling their hot blood on daily basis for the cause of right to self-determination and the people were shouldering the coffins of their loved ones almost every day and continued to remain steadfast towards their goal.
They said that New Delhi was suffering from arrogance of power and had tried its best to muzzle the Kashmiris’ voice but had utterly failed to do so, and no power on earth could deter the Kashmiri people from their much cherished goal of right to self-determination.
