ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) A member of AJK legislative Assembly Pir Ali Raza Bukhari strongly condemned the ban put on Jamat-e-Islami and Liberation Front by India.
In a statement issued here on Sunday he said India could not break the will and determination of valiant people of Occupied Kashmir for their liberation through such cheap tactics. Banning any political organization in IOK is a flagrant violation of United Nations resolutions, he reminded. He said the world body should take a notice of it and prevail upon India to stop banning the organizations.
India’s biggest democracy of the world and secularism has been exposed by the ban on two peaceful organizations. He said if India thinks that she would suppress the liberation struggle by banning freedom loving political parties he is mistaken. Kashmiris are out to do or die for their freedom and they have turned down a number of economic packages and other incentives offered by India for this cause.
Bukhari asked the international community to help people of Kashmir attain their right to self-determination, manifested by United Nations resolutions. India could not achieve any success despite turning the held valley into a heavily militarized zone, he added.
