“We had established a link before Pakistan was founded”; Minhas


MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The AJK minister for information Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas said that we Kashmiris had established a relation with Pakistan even before the country was founded.

In a statement issued here on Friday he said in the historic meeting on March 23,1940 at the time of Pakistan resolution the responsibility of Kashmiri leadership was held by Amir-e-Millat Sardar Ghulam Haider Jandalvi, Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Karelvi, and Syed Hussain Shah Gardezi. He said Muslims had gathered on one platform after a long time. A representative delegation of Kashmiri leaders was participating the historic Lahore public meeting under the leadership of Sardar Ghulam Haider Jandalvi.

He said when Resolution of Pakistan was presented it was supported by all the leading leaders of Muslims. The leading politicians and thinkers expressed their views and opinions in the meeting. He said Amir-e-Millat Ghulam Haider Jandalvi expressed his views in a strong and unequivocal way which inspired the entire gathering. Even Quaid-e-Azam viewing the passions of the Kashmiri leader said that there was no time bar for him. Jandalvi addressed for 40 minutes and overawed everyone by his viewpoint. He pointed out that there was a dispute brewing in Jammu and Kashmir which needs to be tackled rationally. He had understood the shadows of coming events and political scenario much before the time.

He said Kashmiris passing accession to Pakistan resolution in July 1947 at the house of Ghazi-e-Millat Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan had linked their future with Pakistan. He said Kashmiris are ready to render any sacrifice for the sake of the country. He said their struggle would continue until the goal was achieved and the entire state was acceded to Pakistan.
