Three day exhibition of valuable photographs of Pakistan Movement opened at RAC

Rawalpindi: (PR) A three day exhibition of old and valuable photographs of the Pakistan Movement
titled “Journey of Hope” opened at Rawalpindi Arts Council to mark Pakistan Day here on Wednesday. Member National Assembly Sheikh Rashid Shafiq flanked by Naheed Manzoor, Director RAC, and Chairman Table Talk Forum Habib Ch inaugurated the exhibition. More than 100 photographs related to the War of Independence 1857 and the Pakistan Movement have been showcased in the exhibition which will be remained open for the general public till March 23. A number of art enthusiasts and students from the twin cities were also present on the occasion.
Addressing at the inaugural ceremony, MNA Sheikh Rashid Shafiq said that said the creation of Pakistan and the struggle for it had left marks on our history which shined brighter every passing day. He further added that Pakistan came into existence as a result of the sacrifices rendered by our ancestors and we must work for the progress of our country collectively.
Naheed Manzoor said that due the vision of great leader Quaid-e-Azam, the impossible was made possible. Chairman Table Talk Forum Habib Ch said that 23 rd March 1940 marked an epoch in our history, when the creation of a new state in the subcontinent was promised.
RAC Director Waqar Ahmed said that aim of the exhibition is to introduce the history of
Pakistan and its movement to the young generation.
