ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) The AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan handed over six new and modern ambulances for LoC to public health department.
Talking on this occasion on Monday he said funds had been provided to health department for repair of 40 ambulances to be used at LoC. The new ambulances were handed over in a ceremony held at Kashmir House Islamabad which was attended by minister health, secretary health and district health officers.
The Premier said he had directed health department to bring in their best for provision of facilities to the Indian firing affectees. The government imposed financial discipline and controlled its spending it was why it was self-reliant financially. It was not running on over-drafting like previous governments, he added.
He eulogized former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former AJK chief secretary and secretariat finance and said there was surely a role of them in helping government maintain financial discipline in AJK. He said they helped us achieve this milestone. He directed all the institutions and departments to ensure strict financial discipline and achieve their set targets.
Mr. Haider emphasized health department to ensure first aid, treatment facilities, provision of medicines and their adequate stock for the people of LoC. He said services of local trained staff should be hired for this purpose.
Secretary Health informed the Prime Minister that as per his directions entire record of basic health units was being computerized.
“Its online performance would be checked on daily basis, he stated. We intend to computerize the record of Tehsil Headquarter hospital and district headquarter hospitals. Their performance would also be checked online daily” he said.
Mr. Haider directed that the ambulances should strictly be used for the purpose they were provided for and warned that if any complaint of misuse of them was brought to his knowledge strict action would be taken against the defaulter.
