MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) In Azad Kashmir complete solidarity was expressed with the families of martyrs and injured in terrorist attack at Christchurch New Zealand on Monday.
Special prayers were offered in mosques of the State while the national and state flags hoisted half-mast.
In Muzaffarabad lawyer’s community and civil society also expressed solidarity with the victims of Christchurch terrorist incident. In Kotli officers and employees of KDA staged protest with black ribbons on their arms against Christchurch incident in which around 50 innocent Muslims were martyred by a terrorist while they were offering Juma prayers.
Addressing on the occasion Chairman KDA Raja Aqeel Ahmed Khan said that terrorist attack in New Zealand sent the Muslim Ummah in deep sense of shock. It was the deadliest attack against the humanity, he added. He said Islam emphasizes upon teachings of peace but terrorists have no religion.
In Mirpur prayers were offered for the martyrs of Christchurch victims in Mirpur Bar and Mirpur press club. Lawyers and journalists also expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
