    AIOU holds seminar for accreditation of teachers education program projected by HEC

    ISLAMABAD: Secondary Teachers Education Department ,Allama Iqbal Open University hold one day seminar on ‘ Tools and procedure for Accreditation of teacher education program’’ under the thematic research grant project by Higher Education commission (HEC) on Thursday 14 th March 2019.
    It was aimed to review and get the remarks of experts about the standards of accreditation for teacher education programs, align with the new terminologies and delivery mechanism.
    While speaking in the seminar as the chief guest, Dr Muhammad Latif (Advisor Research & Quality assurance AIOU) said .that AIOU is working in developing force of Quality Teachers. This Particular Program which is being funded by HEC will be very useful in developing the modern teaching abilities in Teacher. He further informed that the working and recommendation of this project will be implemented practically.
    Secretary NACTE Prof Dr Irsahad Ahmad Farrukh informed the participant about the working and purpose of National Accreditation Council of Teacher Education.
    Now is the time to enhance Capacity building of the teachers, Different international modern teachers methodologies must be implemented specially in distance learning, he added.
    Dr Tanveer Afzal Principal investegator Of The project welcomed the chief guest and the participant. He informed about the progress being done in the project so far. The seminar was very useful in assessing the quality and standard of the accreditation of the teacher education program.
    The groups of the participants discussed ideas , methods and tools and gave their recommendation in developing the tools and procedure.
