Faisalabad: Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Namaan Ahmad Langrial has said that agriculture is an open industry and natural calamities inflict much loss to the famers.
As remedial measure for this purpose in Kharif 2018 Punjab government has introduced crop Insurance scheme in four provinces Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Lodharan and Rahim Yar Khan for cotton and rice.
Under this scheme farmers of upto 5 acres land will get get 100 per cent subsidy whereas farmers from 5 acres to 25 acres.
