    BISP board held its 31st meeting chaired by its Chairperson

    ISLAMABAD : (Parliament Times) Benazir Income Support Programme board held its 31st meeting chaired by its chairperson Dr. Sania Nashtar here on Wednesday.

    It was attended by Secretary BISP Ali Raza Bhutta, Board member Qazi Azmat Essa. Zafar A Khan, Atif Bajwa, DG NADRA Mir Alam Khan, Special Secretary ministery of inter-province cooperation Mohtarma Tasnim Rehman, Additional Secretary Finance Dr. Arshad Mehmood and deputy secretary ADB economic affairs division Shahid Ahmed.

    The board members were given detailed briefing on important agendas including approval of budget, proposed agreements with financial institutes, national and social survey and affairs related to budget.

    BISP board gave approval of NSER of employees, employees service regulation and new salary package. The board also urged for betterment of performance review system to ensure transparent and effective performance in harmony with corporate culture.

    Chairperson of BISP gave briefing to board members on steps taken in a short period of time during the past four months. She expressed her resolve for bettering the institute’s operational working with the help of board and management. She said the present government’s agenda for social protection and eradication of poverty is vast and added that BISP was implementing it in letter and spirit. She said BISP needs to form a strong and effective organization to ensure good performance of the tasks given. She expressed hope that board and BISP employees would play their role to come up to the expectations of government and the basses
