Rawalpindi:(Parliament Times) Chairman Rawalpindi Development Authority Muhammad Arif abbasi has said that women had played vital role in Pakistan Movement and PTI government provided optimum opportunities of development and progress to women. He stated this while addressing a special ceremony at Sanat e Zaar, an institution of Social Welfare Department, Rawalpindi. Former Senior Officer of Social Welfare Muhammad Ishtiaq Ratu, Director Social Welfare Rawalpindi Division, Mr. Amir Shah, Rizwana Bashir, Yasmeen Naz, representatives of Social Welfare Organizations and girl students attended the event. Handicrafts and garments prepared by students also displayed on the occasion. Chairman RDA appreciated girl students on their spirit of developing skills and said that women are more than half of entire population and their active role in business entrepreneurs. He said Social Welfare Department had been rendering valuable services for education and training to women besides providing them opportunities of social uplift. Mr. Ishtiaq Ratu, Aslam Maitla, Rukhsana Bashir also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the role of women in different sectors.
