International community has been informed about Indian aggression in Occupied Kashmir: FM

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said international community has been informed about Indian aggression in Occupied Kashmir.

He said this while giving detailed briefing to National Assembly (NA) standing committee on foreign affairs Wednesday on prevailing situation in the region and the challenges. Committee met under chairman Malik Ehsan Ullah Tiwana.

He told the committee that he had contacted and apprised foreign minister of other countries about Pakistan stance. He has also informed them about Indian aggression in Occupied Kashmir.

He said that he had held talks with US, China, Russia, Germany and other important countries about Indian aggression and its intrusion into Pakistan space. International community has supported Pakistan peace policy and its stance.

“I presented my view point before Mike Pompeo after Pulwama attack. Today Pompeo said in categorical terms that he played positive role by doing private diplomacy”, he added.

He stated that private diplomacy has worked as US have played its role in defusing tension between Pakistan and India through private diplomacy.

He thanked US Secretary of state Mike Pompeo for the role played by him.

He said that leaders of China, Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan and other countries also played the role for cessation of tension between the two countries.

Tension between Pakistan and Indian appear to be de-escalating which is a positive forward movement.

He held Pakistan has stepped up its diplomatic endeavors.

Chairman and members of standing committee assured FM of their full cooperation in vital diplomatic matters.
