MUZAFFARABAD : (Parliament Times) On the direction of AJK Prime Minister livestock department has extended the date of receipt of application for free of interest loan to set up dairy forms.
A press release of Livestock department says that the Premier gave approval for extension on the insistence of members legislative assembly. Now the applications would be received by March 15, 2019. Thousands of citizens were showing interest to apply for loans it was why the date for receipt of application had been extended by the Premier.
People of AJK have welcomed the government’s step for setting up 300 dairy farms in AJK through free of interest loans by banks. This important project would cost 186 million rupees while technical expertise would be provided by Livestock and Dairy Production department, says the PR.
Loan amounting to one million per unit would be granted to the applicants. While its markup would be borne by the livestock department. The average income from a dairy farm has been estimated around 12 lakh annually while overall income is expected around 383.30 million rupees. Thousands of people would benefit from the project. Apart from addressing the unemployment issue the project would provide pure milk and meat.
The PR says that more than 10,000 persons showed interest in setting up of dairy farms in AJK.
On the instructions of minister for Livestock Ch. Muhammad Ismail Livestock Dairy Development is extending full cooperation to people who are fostering animals.
