ISLAMABAD: Ministry of National Health has approved to establish Islamabad Regional Health Authority (IRHA) to monitor treatment facilities in Basic Health Centres , Rural Health Centres and dispensaries in federal capital.
Ministry of National Health has decided to enhance No of Basic Health centres and rural health centres from 19 to 31 and every health centre will be converted into specialized centre for treatment of different diseases.
IRHA will be responsible for provision of treatment facilities to patients and budget for doctors and paramedical staff and medicines.
The authority will be comprising 10 members including chairman. The members of this authority will be taken from other departments for period of 3 to 5 years. This will consist of skilled persons from medical and non medical departments.
