MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) Minister for works and communication Ch. Muhammad Aziz observed that India had opened round the clock firing with heavy weapons from across the LoC against civilian population for the past few days. Expressing his views on the fresh situation at LoC he said since Indian planes were shoot down in Smahni sector Indian went into a frenzy and has been targeting civilian population of AJK living close to the border violating the international law. “We want to make it clear to Modi that he cannot demoralize the spirits of people who have braved its ceasefire line violations for the past 70 years” he said. He said government was pretty aware of the difficulties of people living close to border and taking necessary measures to mitigate their sufferings. He said district administrations were alert to rehabilitate the people affected by firing adding that people who live too close to border have been accommodated at safer places with better facilities. Emergency has been declared in all the hospitals and ambulances and medical facilities are being extended to the affected people, he maintained.
