AJK AB arrests four accused in Hattian Bala financial scandal

MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) The AJK Accountability Bureau (AB) arrested four more accused involved in Hattian Bala Financial Scandal after their bails were rejected by the court.

According to a press release of AB the accused have been transferred to Saif House Thoori. The arrested include Sudheer Ahmed S/o Ghulam Jillani, Naveed Ahmed S/o Muhammad Jameel, Muhammad Azhar S/o Wazeer Khan and Muhammad Shafique S/o Ghulam Muhammad. The accused are close relatives of one Imtiaz S/o Muhammad Sharif and abetted him in embezzlement of government exchequer as a result there was loss of crores of rupees to the kitty.

The in charge of AB team DSP Ameeruddin probed the case owing to solid proofs of embezzlement against the accused. The accused filed an application for bail before arrest in the court which was rejected and they were arrested.

In another mega corruption case of 7 billion rupees AJK HC rejected the application for bail after arrest of accused Muhammad Afzal Sub-Engineer who is accused for financial embezzlements, corruption and misuse of powers in greater water supply and sewerage scheme Mirpur.
