ISLAMABAD: Decision has been taken to set up 13 new educational institutions under Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) in different sectors of Islamabad for addressing the day to day growing problems of admission in colleges and schools.
According to media reports PC-1 of 3 out of these proposed 13 educational institutions has been approved. The construction work in respect of these three institutions will be started soon after approval from the federal government. The construction of the remaining educational institutions will commence from the inception of next financial year as their PC-1 is in the final stages.
The new educational institutions will be built in sectors G-13, G-14, G-15, Golra Sharif, Pakistan Town, Tarlai, Bani Gala, Margala town, B-17, Multigarden and others.
The admission problem has become a perpetual source of nuisance for the students in Islamabad as no new educational institution has been opened in federal capital since the last two decades and on the other hand population has surpassed 25 lac.
