Solid waste management: MoU signed between MCM, ICEPAK

MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) Municipal Corporation Muzaffarabad and ICEPAK Private Limited have inked an MoU on important project of Solid Waste Management and Recycling to keep the capital city neat and clean.

AJK Secretary local government and rural development Raja Ijaz Ahmed Khan and Project Manager Nadeem Taj of ICEPAK Pvt limited signed the agreement. The project would be completed at a cost of 26.8 million rupees.

Later talking to media Raja Naseer Ahmed said that the project would help beautify the city and creating a neat friendly atmosphere. He expressed resolve that all resources would be channelized to restore the beauty of Muzaffarabad which had been devastated by 2005 earthquake.

Ahmed said soon cleanliness drive would be kicked off all over AJK to keep the cities and their atmosphere clean. He said provision of potable water, health, education, cleanliness, and other basic facilities is priority of the ruling party. He said with the efforts of Prime Minister Haider the development budget of the state was doubled. He claimed that despite elapsing two and half years there is not a single charge of even a penny against any of the MLA or ministers in our government. He said government was determined to spend the public money on the public welfare projects. He assured that problems of employees of municipal corporation including pension would be reviewed to be settled down.
